October 2023

On Tuesday 10th October, World Mental Health Day, we had our Cake and Coffee morning in aid of Mind and we are delighted to announce that we have raised an outstanding £1,671.20 which is an unbelievable amount!

We would like to thank everyone that attended, baked, sampled and donated and made . A special thanks to our 3 "Bake Off" judges who were full to the brim after sampling all the incredible cakes. They had a very tough decision to make to choose from over 20 amazing entries. They awarded first place to a gorgeous Pistachio and Rose Jam cake, and second place was awarded to a delicious Guinness Chocolate cake! Thank you to The Belfry and Project Doughnut for their extremely kind donations of prizes for the Bake Off.

The theme for this year’s World Mental Health Day is “mental health is a universal human right”. There should be no inequalities in mental health. We are proud here to be promoting a culture where people feel comfortable to open up and to talk.

Please remember – take time to talk.
