Work is currently underway on a major highway maintenance and reconstruction scheme on the A5 between the villages of Kilsby and Weedon on which we are acting as Principal Contractor and completing drainage and civil works. The scheme is let through Highways England’s East Midlands Asset Delivery (EMAD) Construction Works Framework (CWF) and the collaborative framework includes a community of specialist contractors, 8 of whom are allocated to this contract to deliver; traffic management, pavement repair and reconstruction, bridge joint refurbishment, reinstatement of traffic loops, rectification of drainage defects including replacement/repair of pipes, headwalls, iron works, catch pits, installation of new pipes, manholes covers and vegetation and silt clearance from the highway ditch drainage, new road markings, high friction surfacing, kerbing, landscaping, arboriculture and overburden clearance works. Overall Scheme Value is £11.5m and will be complete in November 2019.
