Today Forkers Ltd is as a £25m turn over multi-disciplinary Civil & Ground Engineering Contractor offering a comprehensive construction service to public and private sector clients.

Based in West Bromwich, West Midlands, the company operates from a 10 hectare site which contains head office, plant yard, transport depot, workshops, fabrication, paint shop and storage facilities. Our proximity to the M5/M6/M42 motorway network has enabled us to support the expansion of our operations into most areas of the UK.

With our broad experience we are regularly approached by clients and consultants for technical advice, innovative ideas and budget costings for a wide range of civil, infrastructure, remediation and ground engineering projects and we are happy to provide the ‘early contractor involvement’ needed to enable best value-least risk schemes to be developed.

The company is a partnering framework sewerage contractor to Severn Trent Water for its AMP 4 capital expenditure programme (2005—2010) which follows our successful AMP 3 framework (2000—2005) and we are also involved in a number of other partnering arrangements and contracts with key clients.

Our fleet of over 30 drilling rigs has established us as one of the UK’s largest contractors in the field of mineworkings treatment and our drilling resources include specialist ‘dual head’ rigs which allow simultaneous casing of boreholes to depths up to 350m. We also operate a large range of bespoke mixing and pumping equipment thus allowing large scale mine infilling or mineworkings treatment schemes to be resourced in-house.

To complete our comprehensive ground engineering capability we offer a wide range of cost effective mini-piling solutions based on our specialist ‘drop hammer’ and ‘auger’ mini-piling rigs. Piling services also include steel sheet piling.
