About Us - Our Company Profile
With over 40 years experience and supported by a dedicated team of qualified and experienced staff, Forkers provides a broad range of Civil and Ground Engineering services to both the public and private sectors.
We operate nationally from our head office in West Bromwich, West Midlands and our regional office in Grangemouth near Falkirk (Forkers Scotland Ltd). Both locations have extensive plant depot facilities and the proximity to major motorway networks, mainline stations and airports allows us to quickly access and support our operations in all parts of the UK.
An enviable reputation for problem solving, innovation, quality, client focus and attention to customer care together with our commitment to partnering and collaborative working ensures we can input fully into achieving successful completion of the most challenging projects.
The unique range of capabilities and expertise that we have in-house has been recognised by many clients and designers and we are regularly approached to provide technical advice and innovative ideas for future projects. We can also provide a full ‘design and construct’ service for any scheme if required.
Our specialist plant fleet includes over 50 drilling and mini-piling rigs which have established us as one of the UK’s largest contractors in the field of mine workings treatment, specialist geotechnical services and mini-piling solutions.
Many of our capabilities dovetail neatly into the expanding renewable energy sector and Forkers Renewable Energy Division has been established specifically to develop and expand our Windfarm Infrastructure, Ground Source Heating and Coal Bed Methane exploitation services.
Main drainage and sewerage has always been one of our core activities and the company has been a partnering framework sewerage contractor to Severn Trent Water for its AMP 3 & AMP 4 capital expenditure programmes (2000—2010). In the current AMP5 period (2010 - 2015) we are working with Amey, Costain, NMC Nomenca and NWH to deliver water and sewerage improvements across the Severn Trent Water region.
We have been recognised as an Investor in People for our commitment to employee training and development and we are accredited to ISO 9001:2008 , ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 . Our dedication to continuous improvement in health and safety performance has resulted in receiving the British Safety Council International Safety Award for the last 14 consecutive years as well as RoSPA Safety awards since joining in 2009.
